We are Ryn and Tori and we’ve been together for 12 years. In all that time, Ryn has had an idea in the back of their mind to open a bookstore some day. Well, they decided now is as good a time as any!

Ryn and Tori met online in 2014 and bonded over a shared love of comics and books. While they may disagree on certain books being good (looking at you, Catcher in the Rye), they ultimate love reading and sharing that love with others. Naturally, that led to a desire to open a bookstore.

So Two Stories Bookshop was born, and the name is inspired by the beautiful two-story brick flats of Chicago, pictured in the logo and here on this page! We read all kinds of books and can provide a recommendation on pretty much any mood you’re in. While our favorite genre is horror, Ryn also enjoys sci-fi, fantasy, and thrillers! Tori also enjoys thrillers and literary fiction!
